He led three startups through every phase of the journey, from ideation to a fully functioning, scaling business, securing funding, establishing product-market fit, driving customer growth, technology team expansion, strategic partnerships, and M&A due diligence through to eventual exits. PLUMgrid was acquired by VMware, Ortiva Wireless by Allot Communications, and Wichorus by Tellabs.

Faisal provided strategic leadership at GlobalLogic, driving innovation and creating a best-in-class R&D organization, resulting in significant Fortune 500 customer wins and the company’s eventual acquisition by Hitachi for $9.6 billion.

As CTO, Faisal played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and digital transformation, leading Sleep Number Labs, the Bay Area innovation arm. Under his leadership, the company evolved from a bed manufacturer into a leader in health and wellness. He designed, scaled, and delivered SleepIQ™, an AI-based Sleep Wellness Technology Platform, achieving 600% growth in 4 years to 3 million smart sleepers and processing 1.8 petabytes of data annually, instrumental to over $2 billion in revenue growth. He also laid the groundwork for the BreatheIQ™ apnea classification platform.
